We collect as little as we can, and we tell you plainly what we keep.

Reading and using the site

You can read every bill analysis, see every voting record, and look up your representatives without an account and without giving us anything. The ZIP lookup keeps nothing: you type a ZIP, you see your reps, and we store none of it.

Visit counts

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages get read, so we know which analyses matter to people. We send it page views only: no names, no email addresses, and nothing you type. What you enter in the ZIP lookup or the search box never goes to Google. Google Analytics does not record your full IP address, and it uses a cookie to tell repeat visits apart. If your browser blocks it, the whole site still works.

Donations

When you donate, Stripe handles the payment and your card details. We never see your card. We record the amount and date so we can show an honest running total and send your receipt.

The optional email-updates box

The checkout page has an optional box to get occasional email updates. We store your email address only if you check that box. If you leave it unchecked, we do not keep your email. Either way you still get a receipt for your donation. You can ask us to remove your email at any time by writing to corrections@daylightgov.com, and we will delete it.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to anything you did not ask for. Donations are not tax-deductible; Alchemy Apps, LLC is a for-profit company.
